I was thinking about how rare it is — to be here, to be free.
About what has been sacrificed, long before us,
for a life where we can move, choose, create.
In Norse mythology, Odin gave of himself to gain deeper sight.
Not comfort — but truth.
When I paint, I step into that space.
Where time dissolves.
Where the self loosens its grip.
There is a moment —
where nothing is forced, nothing is controlled —
and something real moves through.
That is the freedom I know.
The one we all recognize,
when we finally let go.
