About the work
Orgasm 1 was inspired by a request typical of the club scene. After learning that I paint using my body as a brush, a man expressed interest in purchasing a 2 x 3 meter painting that would capture the sensation of an orgasm.
I accepted the challenge and created the work as a live performance during the Gøya Festival. The audience became part of the process, and the act was carried out with humor and playfulness, while I worked dressed in a catsuit. The piece explores intensity, physicality, rhythm, and release through embodied movement on canvas.
Although the man never completed the purchase, the work remains a testament to the power of spontaneous inspiration and performative creation.
For the performance, the canvas was later extended by an additional four meters. The expanded version is presented separately.
