About the work
Orgasm was created in response to a request that reflects the energy of the club scene. After learning that I use my body as a brush, a man suggested I create a large-scale painting that captured the feeling of an orgasm — originally envisioned as 2 x 3 meters.
I accepted the challenge, but transformed it into a live performance. The work was created during Gøya Festival, where the audience became part of the process. Wearing a catsuit and guided by humor and instinct, I moved across the canvas, translating rhythm, tension, and release into physical gesture.
During the performance, the dimensions expanded. An additional meter was added, resulting in the 2 x 4 meter format presented here — a physical extension of intensity and collective energy.
The original buyer never completed the purchase. Still, the piece remains a statement on desire, expectation, power, and the transformation of a casual request into a performative, embodied artwork.
